Elementary Field Trips

Field trips are an integral part of our elementary curriculum. They are designed to enhance classroom learning, build relationships, and encourage family networking. Outreach opportunities are also provided on a year-by-year basis. Field trips take place primarily on University Model® satellite classroom days. Room moms work closely with teachers to organize class field trips and outings. The following is a list of recent field trips:

  • PreKindergarten - Country Barn, Oregon Dairy, Bareville Fire Station, Hunt's Christmas Tree Farm, Kitchen Kettle Village, Leola Pizza Shop, Stauffer's Greenhouse, Wampler Beekeeper, Hayloft Candles and Petting Zoo, The North Museum
  • Kindergarten - Cherry Hill Orchard, Leola Post Office, That Fish Place
  • First Grade - Hershey Gardens, Zoo America, North Museum, Public Library (as part of Lancaster County Library Mission Go!)
  • Second Grade - Middle Creek Wildlife Refuge, Farm and Rural Community Tour, Lancaster City Tour, Hans Herr House, North Museum
  • Third Grade - Philadelphia (Independence Mall), Planetarium, Oregon Dairy, Hershey Garden
  • Fourth Grade - Wheatland, Theaterworks, Science Day at Hershey Park
  • Fifth & Sixth Grades - Community Service Project at Greenview Bible Camp, Longwood Gardens, Washington D.C.
