Meet the Coaches

Ben Armstrong

Middle School Boys “B” Basketball and Middle School Baseball

Coach Armstrong has coached at LCCS since 2019. He works as the middle school Bible teacher at Manheim Christian Day School. Although it is important how his players perform on the court/field, he is more focused on coaching them to be godly men in their day-to-day lives. He promotes teamwork and positive attitudes toward teammates, opponents, and referees/umpires.

Curtis Butler

Varsity and Middle School Track & Field

Coach Butler has coached at LCCS since 2018. However, he has been coaching Lancaster County for over 20 years. Christian schools, private schools, AAU... you name it, he’s coached it. Coach Butler works at LCCS as the facilities and maintenance coordinator. On the weekends, Coach B is a DJ for hire.

Nate Cartledge

Today he plays recreationally at Spooky Nook Sports and in local leagues/tournaments. Coach Fidler works as a Patent Examiner for the USPTO. He and his family attend Conestoga Valley Church of Christ where he also enjoys teaching the high school class. He has a mild addiction to coffee, loves watching movies, and playing sports.

Joanna Herr

Varsity Girls Soccer

Coach Herr has coached varsity girls soccer for over 10 years. Her love for quality soccer and desire to cultivate strong relationships has made her a standout coach at LCCS. Over the years, Coach Herr and her team have played in countless playoffs, championship games, and district games, but her focus has never been solely on winning on the field. Her wins off the field have created an amazing LCCS girls soccer legacy. The girls soccer culture is one of honor, hard work, and fellowship! To go with coaching, Joanna is a wife, mother, LCCS prek teacher, and ice cream lover.

Mark Hobbs

Middle School Boys “A” Basketball

Coach Hobbs joined the athletic department as the athletic director in 2018 and has enjoyed coaching the middle school boys ever since. Having coached basketball, soccer, and track in WV, NJ, and CT, he brings experience from all over the map. His first desire is to honor and glorify God through whatever sport he is coaching. After that, he hopes that his players can learn something for beyond the court when their playing career is over. Coach Hobbs loves LCCS because of the family community, especially considering his wife teaches at the school and all 3 of his children attend LCCS.
