At LCCS, we believe that each student is uniquely created with individual passions and God-given gifts.

We encourage students to discover their passions and develop their skills through real-world experiences and opportunities in our Innovation Academies—the Arts, Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Service, and STEM. We want them to feel confident about how God specifically designed them; to find their calling in Christ and pursue it boldly. Academies offer elective classes for middle & upper school students, specials classes for lower school students, annual showcase events, after-school clubs, extracurriculars, and summer camps.

Academy Focus Days

Academy Focus Days are a unique opportunity for middle & upper school students to spend one full day every month exploring the Academies. Students hear from professionals in various fields, complete projects, and reflect on the activities of the day. Upper school students participate in a large-scale, interactive project each semester. The academy focus day experiences culminate with an upper school academy field trip in May. Middle school students sample each of the four academies through open-ended, individual and group projects.

A Note from the Director of Innovation

I am passionate about the academies because I see how they make our students come alive. I see how empathizing, collaborating, planning, prototyping, testing, and problem solving is garnering both hard and soft skills in our students. I see students come to school with joy and excitement for what they will be learning and exploring. I see the triumph students feel when their plans come together.

We love to provide opportunities for students to discover their gifts, cultivate mindsets for their respective fields, and build competencies to successfully glorify God through their pursuits. It is my pleasure to serve as the Director of Innovation Academies, and it is my continual prayer that he will lead and guide me as I shepherd our students in experiential learning at LCCS.
